This is a fully traceable and price transparent single producer lot from our importer partners Cedro Alto Coffee. This lot was grown by Cecila Realpe high in the mountains of Narino under native shade trees. Her coffee is treated with meticulous care, from hand picking, sorting, depulping, and sun-drying right on the farm, to the trip down the mountain to the mill. Cedro Alto buys the coffee from Cecilia in parchment at the mill where each microlot is weighed and processed separately. The producers in this collective are paid fixed prices and are given a guarantee that Cedro will purchase their coffee year on year. Within the supply chain, everyone has access to the price breakdown, so the farmer and roaster can see where each penny of the purchase price goes. This coffee is complex, juicy, and winey, with a lot of fruit in the cup, some subtle florals, and plenty of sweetness.
